It is our desire to be a ‘Sanctuary’ – a safe place of replenishment and unconditional love for all those who are journeying to live a life with Christ. Accepting people where they are at and coming alongside to explore God’s desire for each of our lives is how we see this as ‘faith in action’.

The name of the church changed a few times during these years, from Church Muskoka Style to 3 Crosses Café and as 3 Crosses Trails has now become it’s own entity, after more prayer and discussion, the new name for the church is “Sanctuary- Church Muskoka Style’.

Instead of the typical pastor led ‘sermon’ style of preaching, this church takes turns at leading the discussion every Sunday. Having a leader in charge assists with the preparation of the material, flow of the discussion and time management, however everyone has an opportunity to share their story and the result is that we grow together. The old, old stories of the Bible come into play as well as our stories of present day lives and we journey together to understand how our time here on earth is part of God’s bigger plan. The leader’s role has been defined as a facilitator as it’s important to have consistency and predictability for those who are new and in order for church members to feel comfortable bringing a friend.
